Downtown Orland Park is filled with delightful shops, offering something for everyone. It is a veritable treasure hunt where you will find clothing boutiques, antiques, beauty stores, home furnishings, jewelry and much more.
Main Street Area: The newest area in the downtown, Main Street brings more than just a ‘lifestyle center’ to Orland Park. The Village has long had a vision for blending its rich history with the newest areas of the downtown. Plans for Main Street combine luxury residential, retail and commercial use, surrounded by a natural environment, where people can live, shop, stroll, dine and be entertained. This summer, Phase 1 of Orland Park’s new Main Street is being launched and will offer almost 300 luxury residential apartments, along with high-end, ground floor retail and commercial space.
Civic Corridor: Take a stroll through our Civic Corridor on a Friday morning and after you pass by scenic woods and ponds you will find the Farmers’ Market. This year brings the village’s eighth season of fruits and vegetables, fresh flowers and potted plants, bakery items, fudge, jams, jellies, gourmet foods, spices, jewelry, garden stones, kitchenware and more. Held outdoors at the Orland Park Village Center, the market opened for the 2011 season on Friday, June 7 and will be open every Friday, except for August 6, through early October.
Antique Row: Nestled in Old Orland you’ll find Antique Row - a charming collection of antique shops that provide a unique shopping experience for seasoned collectors and hobbyist shoppers. Antique Row is comprised of ten shops - all within walking distance - that offer a large array of one-of-a-kind collectibles that include antique furniture, clothes, books, kitchenware, toys, instruments, and much more. A visit to any of these old fashioned shops will surely be a worthwhile visit and a memorable shopping experience. Orland Park’s antique dealers are more than certain they will be welcoming you back, time and time, again. Visit the Antique Row Website for more information.
Orland Park Crossing: Located at the northeast corner of 143rd Street and LaGrange Road, Orland Park Crossing is the only place in Chicago's southwest suburbs offering exclusive fashion and specialty shops designed for today's stylish consumer. The open-air lifestyle shopping center features a unique mix of national retailers, boutique shops and restaurants.
There’s more to come – Orland Park Crossing is only half developed. Phase II of the development will include residential, a pedestrian friendly park, restaurants, specialty retail, and related amenities. This portion of the project will be located north of Phase I and bounded by 142nd street, LaGrange Road and 141st Street. 100 multifamily condo units are being planned that will serve as a buffer between the commercial space and the surrounding single-family residences to the east. These residences will face a park and are walking distance to the restaurants and retail shops at the site. The units are easily accessible to the Metra train station across the street from the development for commuters working in downtown Chicago and the demographics of the area mirror Orland Park Crossing targeting an affluent customer in the southwest suburbs of Chicago.
